Zach Bruhn

Major Zach Bruhn, an 19-year veteran of the Oklahoma City Fire Department, is the station officer at Station 7 and the chief ride-out for Battalion 3. Zach is a special operations veteran who served as a U.S.A.F. Combat Controller. Throughout his career Zach has been able to acquire certifications such as Paramedic, Rope Rescue & Swift-Water Technician, Fire Instructor I, 1403 Instructor, Safety Officer, Red Card, Fire Officer I and has obtained his bachelor’s degree in Fire Administration. He is a graduate of the National Fire Academy, completing their Incident Command and Control courses. Additionally, Zach served as the Field Training Officer for his department’s Recruit Training Academy, Fire Officer promotional academies and is a founding member of his department’s mentor committee. Zach is also an adjunct professor for Oklahoma State University’s Fire Protection department. He also serves on IFSTA’s validation committee and is on the OSFA Educational Advisory Committee.
